This past weekend, I had the privilege of inviting some girlfriends in Atlanta to High Tea at the St. Regis Buckhead.
Fact: Did you know that there are nearly 30 million people with
#diabetes & 86 million at risk?
Last weekend I had the opportunity to be a guest at the 2014 Black Girls Run! Sweat With Your Sole conference. This year, the conference and race was held at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, GA. Women from around the world came to this conference to meet their fellow BGR! sisters, have a great time AND to run either the 5k/15k at Centennial Park.
From the moment I arrived, you felt the positive energy and sisterhood in the atmosphere- truly contagious!
Stacey aka The Sistah Chick, blogger of TheSistahCafe.com who is one of my fav natural hair YouTube vloggers invited me to her birthday brunch.
Not only did I get to hang out with Stacey, but I had the opportunity to meet some awesome ladies in Atlanta while indulging in a great brunch (my fav meal).
Here are some pics from the brunch. The food was so good I didn’t have a chance to take any pics because I was devouring and conquering!

Moving to a new city can be a bit intimidating ESPECIALLY when you do not really know anyone. Well for me, coming out of my “comfort zone” and tapping into my inner “go-getter,” I decided to attend Jai Stone’s #gameChangeHer brunch.
I was a bit nervous because this was one of the first events I attended as a new “Mover and Shaker” in Atlanta. Of course when I walked in I was confident YET nervous simply because I did not know anyone.
I had been following Jai while I was living in North Carolina, so attending her event without meeting her in person was a bit “nerve-racking.”
Least to say, Jai and the ladies in attendance welcomed me with open arms and I’m really happy I attended.
If you are a woman who’s on the move and you want to be surrounded around powerful women who are positive, encouraging and making moves, be sure you attend the next #gamechangeHer brunch and connect with Jai!
Here are a few pics of the event – enjoy!
Oldie but Goodie!
My best friend and I went to Jay Z and Beyonce’s “On The Run Tour” in Atlanta this past summer and had a great time. Going to a concert straight after work can be much of a chore, especially if you’re anything like me and DO NOT plan your outfits.
We had just a few hours to get our bearings together, get dressed and head to the stadium.
I ran in my closet and put this look together. I was cute, comfy and I loved the shoes. I had my eyes on them for some weeks and scooped them up right before the concert. Once I have a vision on a specific look – I go for it.
Least to say, the shoes were HOT and I got plenty of compliments!
