giving thanks: friends edition

Good friends are hard to find, right?

As I grow older and mature gracefully, I realize that this statement is SO TRUE!!! With all the relocations I’ve done in my life,  I can attest that this statement has core validity to it.Friendship is not a relationship that I take lightly and loyalty means everything to me. I tend to hold my friends to high standards and at times, that works for me and other times, not so much.

What I have learned is that you have to allow people to be who they are, make their own mistakes and grow. No one is perfect and no relationship is perfect, but in friendships, when you learn one another’s true intentions you tend to grow closer together rather than further a part.

Thanksgiving 2014 will be one I will never forget. Not only did I have an opportunity to spend it my family and prepare my first OFFICIAL Thanksgiving meal, I was also able to spend it with two of my closest friends – Crystal and Nicole. I will never forget my first day of high school – these two ladies welcomed the “girl from New York” with open arms and we’ve been friends ever since.

We decided to check out Star 99.7’s Annual All Black Party and least to say we had a ball. Just like fine wine, we get better with time.

Cheers to beautiful genuine friendships – and cheers to 20 years!

Love you ladies!
